Episode 4 - Indie Party Player; Advantages Ahead

The Saga of Indie Pogo, is nothing but a story of one mixed outcome meeting the prospect of success. The sheer time and effort into it's critical design. While there is of course it's lovers and haters, as opposed to all games. There is a rather interesting portion in Indie Pogo's life time that like Chapter 3 will never be repeated.

Where in Chapter 3, the focus was on the hatred of one to surpass where others had failed. In this story it's simply the desire of one to propel them forward into their current position and it is a rare case in most aspects. With the developer of it all Trevor Lowe. Not to be confused with Trevor Lowe.
Trevor is quite the interesting developer, before he had began the Lowe Bros projects. He had a life that wasn't highly to dedicated to indie dev. Making him one of the very few and multiple examples of course of devs whom didn't seek it completely at the moment of birth. With his participation in Battle Fortress Tortuise and Apocolypse Valley. It is also significant to note that before Lowe Bros. Stardrop was seen beforehand.
Lowe Bros was introduced in 2014.  With their first advertisement being for what seemed to be a failed project. Immediately after being for their stardrop game. Being Stardrop Sprint by Jaron Lowe. In the category came that of Stardrop Blaster.  With this being their second released title. It was becoming highly promising that Stardrop was the IP they would represent. While this tale isn't focusing on the very original titles they've debuted in. Stardrops IP status and Lowe itself is a core theme.

While they had advertised it first, the other game that they were developing would be scanimals.  Yet, in this position despite not having the status we know today. They were emerging a community and the community while small was beginning to grow onto some extra weight. In 2014, they had made the announcement of the games log information.  While Indie Pogo was just a name. Throughout the year and from that announcement. Lowe Bros content would only be focused on Indie Pogo. The confirmation of the hiatus of their Scanimals project was now concrete with the work flow of information now being delievered by the development team. In 2015, being the trend of height of the Indie Gaming Community. With Indie Game Battle, and Indie Assault making their demo releases. Indie Pogo took the route that those two didn't take...

That route being the form of community communication and background. While the community was present it began to host interactions and following in 2016 would the game reach the green light spectrum.  Getting more and more attention throughout it's development process.  The game would eventually meet it's kickstart goals and even play a focus in the growing crossover community.

With the deathes of 2 crossovers in a span of 2 years. This only left Indie Pogo in 2017, at least in the big original three. There was still the other one struggling to maintain their own survival. 2017 also proved to be the community uproar as the biggest competition had been canceled. Thus, a wave of support had come in Trevors direction.  In 2018 the Steam release had finally made it's debut.  Although it is important to note, that throughout this story. The deep and single focus of Indie Pogo and the strive simply for it's endgoal is quite the achievement to be attained.

Currently in 2019, Indie Pogo has done something that 2 of the 3 failed to do that we mentioned. That was the ability to stay afloat and rather manipulate and or abandon their community, they began to build on that community to not only give them a foundation but a foundation for those whom are supportive of it as well.

The lesson here unlike in one and two. Is that communication, the portion of community aid, even the ability to focus on one game. Every benefit Trevor took, the chance to promote, the time to build the community. The process of Indie Pogos development was slow but the pay off. While developing, while communicating with the community. Do not abaondon them, do not manipulate. The community is highly dedicated to the content provided directly... With the content only being Indie Pogo. The only main game being made...

In terms of Indie crossovers, the position Trevor has acquired with the Indie Pogo was strictly due to the dedication to make but to be patient with time. Like Chapter 3, the biggest piece to consider the drive and will of the developer to represent and to stand tall with what they have. In this scenerio however the time and social account to communicate was the absolute keys needed to propel Pogo where it is today.

However, there is another crossover where the action of time and hardship of it's development was proved to be a success for a short time but regardless they were cheated out of their glory with time in the indie crossover spotlight but their existence is valid in the obscure sanctuary of genre changes, in this call. The genre of racing games...
